In it’s first engagement, Book of Mormon had a record-breaking three-week run in Denver leaving many scrambling for tickets to the sold out show in the fall of 2012.

Broadway/San Diego is bringing the smash hit musical, Book of Mormon to San Diego Civic Theatre for a two-week run in late spring 2014.

The Book of Mormon is scheduled to play San Diego Civic Theatre from May 27 to June 8, 2014. Although Book of Mormon ran in Los Angeles for two months last year, this will be the first “Mormon” visit to San Diego.

“The Book of Mormon” is a comedy about two Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda. Like “South Park,” it’s rich with profanity and satire. The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards, written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez.
