Book Of Mormon Comedy Musical Set for Des Moines Civic Center in January 2013

The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines announced the 2012-2013 season Monday evening in front of hundreds of Civic Center members. The season includes the current Tony winner for Best Musical, Book of Mormon inaugural tour will stop in Des Moines, IA January 2013.

Book of Mormon at the Des Moines Civic Center will play next year from Jan. 24 through Feb. 3, 2013.

The Book of Mormon musical skewers religious fundamentalism with a tale about two missionaries who get more than they bargained for in Uganda. By most accounts, the musical by the guys who created “South Park” and “Avenue Q” is as gleefully scandalous as you’d expect.
