The Book of Mormon musical opened at the Kennedy Center Opera House (The John F. The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards, is the creation of Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the writers behind “South Park,” and Lopez is co-creator of the hit musical comedy “Avenue Q.” The Book of Mormon follows two young Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, who soon discover their training did not quite prepare them for the world outside of Salt Lake City. It offers an offensive but funny look at two missionaries in Uganda.

The Book Of Mormon musical, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, broke the in-house record in Buffalo for the week ending June 16 at Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

The first national tour of Book of Mormon played at Shea’s Performing Arts Center for only for 6 days with 8-shows from June 11 to June 16, 2013. The Book Of Mormon has continually broken house records across the country since opening in Denver in the summer of 2012.

The Book Of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The production is choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

The First National Tour of The Book Of Mormon starts performances at Palace Theatre in Cleveland on Tuesday, June 18 and continue through July 07, 2013. From here the production continues to Washington DC from July 09 to August 18, 2013.

The Book of Mormon musical coming to Saenger Theatre. Broadway in New Orleans has been a big hit at the Mahalia Jackson Theater. Now, the restored Saenger is getting in on the action. The Book of Mormon is scheduled to play at Saenger Theatre, New Orleans LA from October 15 to October 27, 2013. “It’s a great season. It’s a very exciting way to bring the Saenger back into action. It’s been since 2005, so we’re talking about eight years without this magnificent theater,” said David Anderson, the CEO of the Ace Theatrical Group.

In 2012 the theater has been shut down since it flooded during Hurricane Katrina and begin $52 million renovations. The theater is set to reopen late in the summer.

“It will be absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. It will look largely like it did in 1927 when it was built. It will be a total historic restoration

from the stage house forward. So you’ll see the blue sky and the twilight that we saw before,” said Cindy Connick, the executive director of the Canal Street Development Corporation.

Broadway/San Diego is bringing the smash hit musical, Book of Mormon to San Diego Civic Theatre for a two-week run in late spring 2014.

The Book of Mormon is scheduled to play San Diego Civic Theatre from May 27 to June 8, 2014. Although Book of Mormon ran in Los Angeles for two months last year, this will be the first “Mormon” visit to San Diego.

“The Book of Mormon” is a comedy about two Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda. Like “South Park,” it’s rich with profanity and satire. The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards, written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez.
