In it’s first engagement, Book of Mormon had a record-breaking three-week run in Denver leaving many scrambling for tickets to the sold out show in the fall of 2012.

On Monday, it was announced that the nine-time Tony Award winning musical would return to Denver Colorado, starting its run on October 22 to November 24, 2013 at the Buell Theatre.

The Book of Mormon Musical is the story of Mormon missionaries who travel to Uganda to join a group converting Africans. The musical tells the story of two extremely naive Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, where they face a warlord and indifference from the locals, who have their hands full dealing with hunger, genocide, poverty and AIDS.

Broadway/San Diego is bringing the smash hit musical, Book of Mormon to San Diego Civic Theatre for a two-week run in late spring 2014.

The Book of Mormon is scheduled to play San Diego Civic Theatre from May 27 to June 8, 2014. Although Book of Mormon ran in Los Angeles for two months last year, this will be the first “Mormon” visit to San Diego.

“The Book of Mormon” is a comedy about two Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda. Like “South Park,” it’s rich with profanity and satire. The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards, written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez.
