The Broadway production of The Book of Mormon draws large crowds outside the Eugene O’Neill Theatre for its ticket lottery.

Tony nominee Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner co-star in the tour of the Tony-winning hit that launched its U.S. tour in Denver CO, in August. “South Park” creators-writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony-winning Avenue Q songwriter Robert Lopez collaborated on the script and score to The Book of Mormon, which earned Tony Awards for Best Book, Best Score and Best Musical. The big-hearted, irreverent and profane musical traces the journey of two mismatched missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who take the trip of a lifetime.

The Book Of Mormon Los Angeles Tickets Are Still Available

The Book Of Mormon Los Angeles Tickets are still available and the top ticket can be had for $175. “Book of Mormon” tickets can sell for nearly $500 at the box office on Broadway and are tough to find. That’s because New York’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre seats 1,100, while the Pantages Theatre can hold about 2,700.

“The Book Of Mormon” is a satire about Mormon missionaries in Uganda. Henson starts rehearsing Monday. He says his character “is a closeted homosexual, and that’s a big no-no in the church.”

Henson comes from a musical family. His dad, Johnny Henson, taught Grey his first few songs. His mom, Paige Henson, knew Grey was meant for stardom when he was only six years old.

“I remember him singing ‘Help Me Rhonda.” That just comes to my mind,” says Johnny. Paige is convinced he’s taking broadway by storm to meet a bigger star.

In “The Book of Mormon,” the 22-year-old sings ‘Turn it Off.’ To get into character.

Producers announced Thursday that Creel will star as Elder Price, the role currently played by Andrew Rannells on Broadway. Creel is set to play Elder Price, the bright-eyed Mormon missionary of ambiguous sexuality. Creel received Tony nominations for “Hair” in 2009 and “Thoroughly Modern Millie” in 2002. No other casting for the tour has been announced.

Book of Mormon tour starts Aug. 14 in Denver Colorado, then moves to Los Angeles before coming to San Francisco late this year. It will also hit Portland, Oregon; Seattle; Des Moines, Iowa,: Minneapolis; and St. Louis. A second national tour starts in December in Chicago.

The tour’s second stop will be at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, for a 12-week engagement starting September 05, 2012. The musical has been a hit on Broadway since opening last year. It won nine Tony Awards, including the award for best new musical.

“The Book of Mormon” follows elders Price and Cunningham as they travel to a remote African village for their mission. Book of Mormon Washington DC Tour July 2013

Book of Mormon scheduled to run at Kennedy Center Opera House from July 09, 2013 through August 18, 2013. The Book of Mormon touring prodcution will stop in Washington, DC for about 4-week run.

The show gently pokes fun at two Mormon missionaries who get more than they planned for when they travel to Uganda. Co-written by “Avenue Q” co-creator Robert Lopez, it features the off-colour humour and salty language that its writers have become known for. Still, Garefino thinks more mature theatre-goers won’t be deterred.
