The Book of Mormon Coming to Cincinnati, Ohio

The Book of Mormon, Broadway hit musical comedy will be coming to Cincinnati, Ohio for the 2013-2014 season. Performance dates are yet to be announced. The hottest show on Broadway ‘The Book of Mormon’ will be part of the Broadway in Cincinnati 2013-2014 season.

The national tour of Broadway mega-hit musical “The Book of Mormon,” winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will come to the Aronoff Center as part of the 2013-2014 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati season. Book Of Mormon, the winner of nine Tony Awards in 2011 — including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical — will play at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts as part of a national tour. The twisted religious satire has music, book and lyrics by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, working with Robert Lopez (who co-wrote the book for “Avenue Q” and has a hot new development deal with ABC).

By the creators of animated TV satire “South Park” Trey Parker and Matt Stone and “Sesame Street” sendup “Avenue Q” co-creator Robert Lopez, “The Book of Mormon” musical tells the story of two extremely naive Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, where they face a warlord and indifference from the locals, who have their hands full dealing with hunger, genocide, poverty and AIDS.
