Book of Mormon Tops Broadway Box Office Update for Week (Labor Day Week) Ending 9/9/2012

The Book of Mormon climbed to the No. 1 slot in a post-Labor Day week that whittled down sales at nearly every production on the boards. The Book of Mormon Broadway grossed $1,639,848 and had an attendance rate of 102.6%, same as that of the previous week. The Book of Mormon surpassed more frequent pole-position occupants “The Lion King” ($1,566,963) and “Wicked” ($1,313,195).

The 21 shows on the boards grossed $16,925,458, slipping around 5.97% from the previous week’s totals.
